Let’s start here: if work feels heavier than it should, you’re not imagining it—and you don’t have to navigate it alone.
I’m Michelle, and for more than 25 years I’ve worked behind the scenes of hotels, resorts, restaurants, and complex organizations—helping people grow careers, fixing broken cultures, and steadying teams when things got messy. I’ve supported employees at every stage: from landing the job, to leveling up, to speaking up when something just wasn’t right.
At Your Work Voice, support starts before things go sideways. Career development is core here—resume writing that actually reflects your value, interview preparation that builds confidence instead of scripts, and guidance for navigating growth conversations, promotions, or pivots. Think of it as getting clear, prepared, and positioned—on your terms.
And when work does get complicated? That’s where the “unmuted” part comes in.
I spent decades in senior HR leadership roles across hospitality and food & beverage, primarily throughout the Southeastern U.S., leading teams through high-pressure environments where service, speed, and scrutiny collide. I specialized in elevating work environments—raising engagement, rebuilding trust, and creating cultures where people could perform without burning out or being bullied into silence.
I’m not an attorney—and I won’t pretend to be. What I am is someone who understands how workplaces actually operate: how decisions are made, how policies are interpreted (or stretched), and how employees can respond strategically, calmly, and confidently. My role is to help you prepare, document, communicate, and regain your footing—whether you’re facing discipline, navigating a hostile environment, or deciding what your next move should be.
This space exists for clarity, confidence, and support. No corporate spin. No minimizing your experience. Just thoughtful guidance from someone who knows the system—and still believes work can be better.
You don’t need to be louder.
You just need to be heard.
And I’m here to help you do exactly that.
Why I Built Your Work Voice
I built Your Work Voice because after decades in HR, I saw a gap no one was addressing—employees often need guidance long before they need a lawyer, and long after HR stops feeling safe.
I’ve spent most of my career in hospitality and food & beverage, where the pace is relentless, expectations are high, and people are often expected to absorb stress quietly “for the sake of the business.” I led teams across the Southeast, opened properties, rebuilt broken cultures, and worked closely with leaders when things went wrong.
What stayed with me wasn’t the policies—it was the people.
The ones who loved their work but felt stuck.
The ones who were disciplined without context.
The ones who knew something was wrong but didn’t know how to say it without risking their livelihood.
I built this space to change that.
Your Work Voice is where career growth and workplace clarity meet. It’s for employees who want to prepare—not panic. To advocate—not explode. To make informed decisions about their work without sacrificing their dignity, confidence, or health.
I’m not here to escalate situations unnecessarily or tell people to burn bridges. I’m here to help you understand the system, strengthen your position, and choose your next steps with clarity and self-respect.
You deserve support that’s honest, human, and grounded in real experience.
That’s why Your Work Voice exists.
Your Work Voice provides career development and employee advocacy support for professionals navigating today’s complex workplaces. Founded by Michelle Karamitsios, a senior HR leader with over 25 years of experience, the platform is designed to support employees—not employers—at every stage of their career.
Services begin with career development, including resume writing, interview preparation, career strategy, and professional positioning. Whether you’re seeking your next role, preparing for a promotion, or re-entering the workforce, clients receive practical, personalized guidance grounded in real-world hiring and leadership experience.
In addition to career support, Your Work Voice offers confidential HR consulting for employees facing workplace challenges such as disciplinary action, retaliation, hostile work environments, leave or accommodation concerns, and difficult conversations with leadership. Support focuses on preparation, documentation, communication strategy, and clarity—so clients can respond with confidence rather than emotion.
Michelle’s background spans hospitality, food & beverage, and multi-property operations across the Southeastern United States, where she specialized in elevating workplace culture, improving employee engagement, and strengthening leadership accountability. Her experience includes luxury resorts, large-scale openings, and high-pressure environments where employee experience directly impacts performance.
Your Work Voice is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Instead, it offers strategic, experience-based guidance informed by decades of HR leadership—helping employees understand their options, protect their voice, and move forward with intention.
This is modern HR support—approachable, ethical, and firmly on the side of the employee.
